Art Deco and Fashion: centering on the Kyoto Costume Institute (KCI) Collection, Mitsubishi Ichigokan museum, Tokyo
I walked into a world shaped by the glittering spirit of 1920s - a time when fashion became modernity and femininity was reimagined in bold, geometric lines and luxurious surfaces. The heart of the show is the stunning collection from the Kyoto Costume Institute (KCI) - a treasure trove of about 200 pieces of clothing, many iconic dresses from the 1920s made by legendary fashion houses such as Poiret, Lanvin, Chanel, and innovative designers like Madeleine Vionnet.
